Prediction Algorithm for Proteasomal Cleavages



PAProC II will predict cleavages by two proteasome species: constitutive proteasomes and immunoproteasomes. The predictions of PAProC II are based on data published recently (R.E.M. Toes, A.K. Nussbaum, M. Schirle, M. Kraft, N.P.N. Emmerich, A. Zweinderman, T.P. Dick, J. Müller, B. Schönfisch, S. Stevanovic, H.-G. Rammensee, H. Schild, Discrete cleavage motifs of constitutive and immunoproteasomes revealed by quantitative analysis of cleavage products, Journal of Experimental Medicine 194, 1-12, 2001).
We are currently preparing a manuscript showing the improved predictions of PAProC II, as compared to PAProC I, especially for immunologically relevant cleavages producing MHC class I ligands and CTL epitopes.
